    Data Engineer


    Job Duties:


    Design, construct, and deploy data wrangling, processing, and analysis pipelines to extract operational intelligence from a variety of data sources using machine learning and data mining techniques forWireWheel, Inc.

    Write software programs and modify those written by others to perform specific data wrangling and transformation tasks.

    Analyze client data and design and deploy data analysis pipelines to extract insights, including privacy insights.


    Design algorithms to efficiently manage and process largeamounts of metadata and data from the data store of clients; research how to automatically extractinformation from a variety of different cloud computing environments; and develop software systemsbased on these environments.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electronics Engineering PLUS 2 years of experience as a systems engineer, software developer or data scientist OR Master's in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electronics Engineering and 9 months of experience in at least two of the following: experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages such as R, Python, or SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets; e

    xperience creating data architectures; e

    xperience in statistical and data mining techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, or social network analysis; experience analyzing data from third party providers; e

    xperience with distributed data/computing tools such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL. All experience may be earned concurrently.

    Remote work from any US State or DC is permissible.
