    Data Engineering and Architecture Consultant


    About the Role:
    We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as data engineering and architecture consultants. In this role, you will assist our clients in maximizing the value of their data.

    You will work with clients to implement a range of data analytics and data science services, helping them to make data-driven decisions, reduce complexity, and improve operational effectiveness.

    Our services play a vital role in achieving mission critical insights, reducing cost, and increasing trust.

    Provide a comprehensive range of data science services for our clients in the National Security sector.
    Work closely with clients to gather requirements, communicate results, and elicit feedback.
    Collaborate with other data science and analytics professionals, contributing your expertise to cross-functional teams delivering consulting services.

    Utilize your skills as a data engineer and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developer, working with various data and file types in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Manage ETL functions and develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools.
    Use data integration and management tools and databases to enhance data processes.
    Design and implement database systems, utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL) and handling complex queries.
    Manipulate and process different types of data and file types using Python.
    Prepare and provide data to enable data science and machine learning.

    Demonstrate a strong understanding of various data storage technologies, such as relational databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and NoSQL databases.

    Work with cloud-based databases and ETL architectures, including Azure and Databricks.
    Design and build secure and scalable distributed systems.
    Create technical process documentation and effectively communicate ideas, methods, and results to clients, including non-technical audiences.
    Successfully work on remote projects and hybrid on-site projects in the DC metro area.


    Requirements:
    An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
    B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline
    3+ years of relevant professional experience
    Proficiency in designing and developing databases using Structured Query Language (SQL)
    Experience with complex data pipelines and ETL processes
    Proficiency in manipulating and processing data using Python
    Strong knowledge of different types of data storage
    Experience working with cloud-based databases and architectures, particularly Azure and Databricks
    Ability to work on remote projects and hybrid on-site projects in the DC metro area


    Preferred Qualifications:
    An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
    M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline
    6+ years of relevant professional experience
    Experience designing data solutions in Azure
    Familiarity with Databricks
    Knowledge of DevOps and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
    Ability to implement basic automation and CI/CD
    Experience with microservices architecture and API gateways
    Technical expertise in data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques
    Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git
    Ability to code and debug stored procedures
    Experience supporting Federal National Security organizations
