Minimum Qualifications
Current New York State employee with permanent or contingent permanent, competitive status as a Internal Auditor 2, Grade 23.

OR:

New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive service in a title eligible for transfer to Internal Auditor 2, Grade 23, under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.


Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Computer Skills/Communication; Conducted Various HealthCare Operation Audits/Sample testing; Conducted Risk Assessments in Operations; Excellent Background with Policies and Procedures; Self-Starter.


Duties Description


Conducting various Operations Audits on an annual basis, write a Final Audit Report; assist in the annual Risk Assessment of Operations; Review and monitor all Operations Policy and Procedures; Back-up for the Contract Unit; Perform Ad-hoc audits upon the request of Senior Management; Review and Update the Oversight and Monitoring Plan; Assist in external audit; Monitor Inventory of Computer/Office equipment; Audit Eligibility of Grant Vouchers for Reimbursment.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position.

Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
