Business Development & Capture Executive to join our team in
McLean, VA.

The ideal BD Executive will have experience in
business development, capture management, and IDIQ/MAC/SAC/BPA Task Order Management. This position will require a very strong understanding of the Civilian and DoD customer's organization, technology, and end users, and to capitalize on that understanding to improve Red Cedar?s competitive position.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Aggressively pursue and qualify new opportunities within the Civilian and Defense Agencies addressable market space that yield new incremental revenue and profitable growth. The BD Executive leads capture efforts to secure new or recompete contracts, or task order business. The BD Executive develops strategy including business and help with technology solution for pursuit of opportunities; responsible for building and maintaining the business area's pipeline, identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, pricetowin strategies, teaming partners, and participates in bid and proposal activities.
  • Identifies and qualifies opportunities for new business. Shape new opportunities/ capabilities that competitively position Red Cedar?s solutions. Leverage valueadded solutions into new adjacent markets. Maintain and grow business relationships with industry partners, client representatives and government customers that focus on solutions offerings, and opportunities to marketing campaigns. Support lifecycle Capture Management efforts, including new business and recompetes which increases win on targeted new business/recompete opportunities.
  • Proactively lead customer prospecting and engagements to gain insight, influence and shape recompete/new opportunities. Coordinates and exchanges information with CTO, BD Executives, Account Managers, Delivery/Program Managers, Solution Architects, experts and other personnel to achieve organic and new business growth targets. Maintain accurate and timely records of business opportunities and ongoing account activities, which includes pipeline reporting, new customer data and revenue data for current customers. Articulate and present those business opportunities to senior management as needed.
  • Research, identify, and develop a business strategy regarding new opportunities for assigned customers, develop tactical and strategic opportunity pipeline. Supports the development of capture plans, proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant solutions/services in order to successfully meet client requirements. Participate in tradeshows or conferences to identify new business opportunities. Develop, update, and present a forecast and pipeline report on business opportunities for assigned customers. Educate current and prospective clients and customers on Red Cedar?s services.
- **Work closely with the Proposal Management Team to convert capture and customer intel into effective win-themes. Review and supervise responses to ensure the win themes are optimally incorporated. Ensure communication between the BD and Proposal team throughout the lifecycle of the proposal.
