    Description

    Red Cedar is currently looking for a smart and self-motivated Technical Proposal Writer with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Working closely with our capture manager, proposal team and operations
    • Preparing proposal text with the ability to write to both technical and management proposal sections
    • Reading and understanding RFP/RFQ/RFIs and their technical requirements to ascertain what solutions are sought.
    • Reviewing and editing proposals to achieve compliance with RFP requirements.
    • Collaborating and participating and when required leading technical solutioning sessions with other team members in preparation of the proposal text.
    • Communicating necessary document edits and updates with Subject Matter Experts, Technical Writers, and Managers
    • Leading and participating in technical proposal reviews, leading sections and/or volumes, technical writing and editing, and maintaining proposal libraries
    • IT background and experience with current knowledge of IT systems, software and programs – essential.
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering/ Science, or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience related to US Federal government proposal preparation and/or management in a government contracting environment
    • Demonstrated understanding of US Federal government proposal development process and management techniques
    • Complete understanding of RFP structure and the ability to review and assess RFP requirements
    • Experience with program and multi-award (IDIQ, BPA, GSA) type proposals
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and MS SharePoint, document configuration management tools, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Strong leadership, organizational, planning, communication, and time management skills; the ability to multi-task and work against strict deadlines is critical
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and proper use of technical or customer terminology
    • Availability and willingness to work long hours on short notice during high volume proposal development periods
