- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet the unique learning needs of students with diverse abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies and instructional materials to facilitate student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to address students' individual needs and ensure their success in the classroom.
- Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and the school administration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to student progress, IEPs, and other required paperwork.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with high school students with special needs is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
