- Maintain good relations with other department heads to know what is coming up.
- Work with or without the Assistant Director to adapt promotions to emerging platforms and the growing campus.
- Plan, prepare, and evaluate promotions to understand strengths and weaknesses.
- Communicate Inkblot's position and stance within ASUN to other departments.
- Facilitate and run weekly staff meetings with entire Inkblot staff
- Work with staff to ensure all promotions for every order are addressed and completed
- Motivate staff to work efficiently and effectively
- Decide what ads are chosen for The Nevada Sagebrush
- Distribute the work load (sometimes working with the Assistant Director)
- Make purchases or delegate purchases whenever necessary
- Make sure Inkblot is operating within ASUN, University and Inkblot policies
- Work with team to make sure the work order timeline is met
- Maintain integrity of ASUN brand
- Ensure that the right information has been given to the right people. (Client, Account Coordinators, Assistant Director, Photo, Video, Social Media, Designer)
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings
- Record Inkblot's receipts, CC requests, IPO's, Print Releases, etc.
- Track the budget (identify how much each organization gets and how much we have)
- Employee evaluations once a semester
- Hire/fire employees whenever necessary (work with supervisor)
- Keep office organized digitally and physically (Basecamp, OWA, App., NevadaBox)
- Reward or punish employee's performance through the 3-strike policy (verbal warning, written warning, progressive discipline)
- Assist employees happily wherever needed
- Manage employee's timesheets
- CC Account coordinators when communicating with copy center
- Track projects on whiteboard
- Periodically make sure to have up to date promotions.
- Weekly correspondence with PR Director
- Monthly updates with all directors on the different departments within ASUN.
- IPO Procedure Form can be picked up at Central Station $400 limit (can be changed)
- Develop a structured weekly meeting template
- Make purchases and provide receipts to Central Station Accounting
- Email the Copy Center for orders
- Collaborate with all teams in order to produce holistic promotion
- Be an expert on ASUN, Inkblot, and University policies and reasons for them
- Understand the ASUN, Inkblot, and client working environments

Inkblot Marketing at the University of Nevada Reno is seeking to hire a Director.
Consequences of Error/Responsibility for Decisions
The Director of Inkblot is responsible for the quality of Inkblot as a whole. Since Inkblot is responsible for the brand management and promotion of ASUN, the quality of work coming out of Inkblot will be directly linked to the quality of ASUN as a whole. We are a student-funded organization so we always want to be using our resources toward the benefit of those students. Wastefulness is not encouraged.
Supervision of Others
The Director is directly responsible for all Inkblot employees. Assistant Director of Marketing, Lead Designer, Photographer, Videographers, and Social Media Manager are direct reports; Designers and Account Coordinators report to the Lead Designer and Assistant Director of Marketing respectively. The Coordinator of Marketing and Publications supervises director.
