Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of our mining, recycling, and composting operations to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, as well as environmental regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various operational tasks, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and adherence to best practices in sustainability.
Identify areas for operational improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
Train and guide staff on new and updated SOPs, ensuring a high level of understanding and compliance across the organization.
Monitor the effectiveness of SOPs and quality improvement initiatives, making adjustments as necessary based on feedback and performance metrics.
Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes related to mining, recycling, and composting operations, incorporating relevant advancements into our practices.
Facilitate internal audits and prepare for external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Collaborate with the environmental compliance team to ensure operations minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance and process improvement, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in mining, recycling, and/or composting operations.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and the ability to develop and implement SOPs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and a commitment to sustainability practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
