- Design, build, improve Valuations processes, procedure and analytics
- Update valuation templates each quarter, including discounted cash flow (DCF), performance multiple (PM) and other valuation models, assessing the underlying assumptions used to develop the valuations
- Compile documentation to support actual financial and company comparable assumptions used in the valuation models
- Analyze sector, market, and regulatory impacts on investments, and assess valuation assumptions
- Maintain, prepare and analyze summary valuation and performance schedules
- Maintain a track record of investment performance on a quarterly basis, addressing any inquiries and modifying output to report performance according to various metrics (e.g. sector, size, vintage, etc.)
- Lead discussions with and provide deliverables to internal and external stakeholders, including Deal Analysts, Investor Relations, Valuation Committee, Executive Team , and Internal and External Audit groups
- Serve as the point of contact for external valuation consultants when utilized
- Update quarterly planning models for actual performance and roll future cash flows; complete variance analyses
- Assess value creation drivers that have contributed to changes in valuation over the holding period of each investment
- Collaborate closely with the Technology team to enhance our systems and data processes to support valuation procedures
- Engage in group initiatives and projects to contribute to broader company objectives
- A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
- 6+ years of progressive financial experience, primarily in valuations, within dynamic, technology-driven environments
- Proven background in financing or M&A transactions, with a strong preference for expertise in the power and renewable energy sector
- Exceptional multitasking skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Familiarity with Python/SQL and financial software and tools such as Bloomberg, Chronograph, VPM, Geneva, Adaptive, iLevel, IHS Markit, Capital IQ, and PowerBI/Automate is a plus

They are hiring a Manager, Valuations to design, implement, oversee, and continuously improve the internal valuation process for all investments across their various platforms, with specific focus on investments held in traditional fund structures, and act as a focal point for all inputs for and outputs from the valuation process.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Manager, Valuations, will report to the Head of Fund Operations and be situated within the Fund Operations group. This group is responsible for supporting the broader operations of both Funds and adjacent processes across the Company's balance sheet. The role focuses on investment valuations, enhancing platform analytics, data governance, performance reporting requirements, and assisting with technology initiatives. Responsibilities include: supporting the valuations in the renewable investments; ensuring data and process governance; updating and reviewing investment models; developing key management reports at both a fund, platform, and company level; and managing other ad-hoc projects. This position requires strong finance and reporting experience, along with knowledge of the renewable investment industry. The ideal candidate should have sound organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with various constituents throughout the firm, service providers, and the Company's investors. Additionally, the individual should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, be deadline-oriented, and possess strong analytical, forecasting, and modeling skills.
