    Description
    Generates, stores, maintains quality data packets (QDPs) and electronic communication to customers


    KEY RESULT AREAS:
    Provides clerical support for Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
    All quality documents are easily retrievable.
    Quality documents and evidence of inspection results are organized and controlled.
    First Articles and requests for deviations, concessions and nonconformances are processed in a timely manner.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Maintain the record retention files on a daily basis.
    Prepare data packages per QPR requirements.

    Submit VRMRs (General Dynamics' electronic system), case records or concessions per the direction of the Quality Manager/Supervisor or the Quality Engineer.

    Submit electronic First Articles per the direction of the Quality Manager/Supervisor or the Quality Engineer.
    Maintain records of submittals to and approvals from customers for First Articles and nonconformances.
    Keep electronic documents organized and purged as needed.
    Scan quality documents for electronic archiving.
    Retrieve data and sales orders from record retention as needed.
    Accumulate data needed for statistical analysis.
    Interact with customers as required.
    Provide other administrative assistance as necessary such as coordinating customer / source inspection meetings.
    Assume other responsibilities as assigned, including coverage for the front desk when needed.


    DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION:
    High school diploma or GED required.

    Minimum five years of experience in a quality support role within a manufacturing environment or minimum of an associate's degree in quality field and three years of related manufacturing based quality experience required.

    Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project required.
    Ability to read blue prints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
