    Oncology Inpatient Pediatric Staff Physician

    Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a 680 bed institution, is seeking a full-time general pediatric Inpatient Staff Physician for our specialized inpatient oncology unit.


    Our inpatient staff physicians work under an attending oncologist to provide day-to-day management, execute chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment plans and navigate therapy related complications for complex and acutely ill pediatric and adult oncology patients.

    Inpatient staff physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT, and nursing.

    In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, inpatient staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, and resident and medical student education.

    Staff Physicians work a traditional hospitalist schedule comprising of seven dayshifts or nightshifts alternating with seven days off service. Applicants must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

    Applicants should be board eligible/certified in pediatrics or medicine/pediatrics. Hematology/oncology fellowship training or oncology background is not required. Oncology practice and standards training is provided. Ohio Medical Licensure is required.


    The Division of Oncology and the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is an international referral center for children and young adults with new, high-risk, and relapsed cancers.

    The Oncology Division at Cincinnati Children's is under the direction of John Perentesis, M.D, FAAP.

    Education/Experience


    Required:
    Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine OR equivalent

    Completion of a Pediatric, Med/Peds Residency

    Able to obtain an Ohio Medical License


    Preferred:
    Board certified or Board Eligible physician
