Staff Physician III, Psychiatry - Cincinnati, United States - Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

    Default job background
    Description

The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is looking for a part-time clinician to provide general medical care for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric problems in our state-of-the-art Residential Treatment Center (RTC).

As the only residential treatment facility integrated into a pediatric-focused hospital in Ohio, we help youth manage their mental illness by making healthy decisions, expressing emotions through appropriate communication and behaviors, and increasing their ability to live healthy and productive lives.

Cincinnati Children's College Hill Campus houses three residential units with a 30-bed capacity. The usual census averages from 20-25 patients who typically stay between 4-9 months. This Staff Physician III opportunity is built around a 24-hour per week framework.

Flexibility exists regarding distribution of those hours during the weekdays but would expect commitment to a minimum of three weekdays per week.

There is opportunity to moonlight, and potential to grow a full-time career for the exceptional candidate. As a bonus, there will be no evening or weekend coverage needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a superior team and care for a very deserving young population.
