    We are on the lookout for a new addition to the Merchant team in the role of Engineering Manager. You will take charge of developing crucial partner integrations spanning various sectors such as convenience, grocery, alcohol, and other emerging verticals. This role presents a chance to influence how we connect millions of users with the products they need in real-time, bridging the gap between prepared foods and consumer packaged goods.

    As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for creating, managing, and expanding innovative features for our users. This role is multi-faceted, involving collaboration with technology teams, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to establish and grow new business lines catering to a national audience.

    Impact You Will Have

    • Lead and mentor a team of senior and junior engineers dedicated to delivering high-performing, adaptable, and scalable features
    • Shape a compelling vision for the team in alignment with product managers and other cross-functional technology teams. Guide the team in developing features that lay the groundwork for new business ventures
    • Collaborate with product and business leaders to map out your team's roadmap, deliverables, and timelines
    • Facilitate your team's agile processes and drive goal achievement in a fast-paced development environment
    • Foster diversity within your team and cultivate a collaborative, inclusive atmosphere
    • Employ metrics to evaluate deployed features, ensuring proper functionality and timely issue resolution
    • Contribute to the establishment of robust software architecture, development best practices, and adoption of new technologies

    Qualifications You Should Possess

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Programming, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
    • Over 7 years of software engineering expertise with a minimum of 2 years in a management role
    • Previous experience overseeing engineering teams, providing mentorship, and fostering career growth
    • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and microservice architecture. Familiarity with Kafka, Python, and Apache Spark is beneficial
    • Solid understanding of AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda
    • Experience in developing multi-datacenter hot-hot architectures
    • Ability to troubleshoot production issues using observability and logging tools
    • Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable, reusable services and features
    • Experience prioritizing test coverage and designing for testability
    • Demonstrated advocacy for strong software architecture, development practices, and emerging technologies
    • Self-directed with a focus on timely deliverables
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
    • Availability for platform monitoring and management, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation for ensuring excellent customer experiences
