    Boeing Training Solutions is seeking an

    Experienced or Lead-Level Simulator Engineer

    to fill a technical lead role at our

    Miami, FL

    Training Campus.

    As a technical lead for the Simulator Engineering team you will have technical oversight of engineering updates and modifications to campus flight simulator training devices, lead coordination and prioritization of engineering resources for the operation, and collaborate with extended stakeholders teams including sim maintenance, project management, flight training, BCA engineering, and customers.

    Position Responsibilities:


    Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

    Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

    Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

    Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

    Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

    Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
    Experience with modern software languages.
    Experience in developing software for commercial training devices.
    Experience with systems requirements analysis, management, and validation/verification.
    Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of the Boeing global training network (up to 10%).

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    5+ years of experience working with commercial flight simulators and other training devices of various regulatory levels. Knowledge of CAE and FSI architectures would be particularly beneficial.
    Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and ICAO simulator standards.
    Proficiency in C/C++ and fortran.
    Experience and understanding of simulator/aviation regulatory qualification processes.
    Extensive knowledge of full flight simulator architecture.
    Experience with software design, implementation, and testing processes.
    Experience using Specification Control Documents (SCDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), schematics, wiring diagrams or other Aircraft design documents.
    Demonstrated ability to work well in diverse teams.
    Excellent technical communication and writing skills.

    Typical Education & Experience:

    Experienced-Level (3):
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Senior-Level (4):
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:
    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    $97,750 - $132,250
    Senior-Level (4)


    Summary pay range:
    $119,850 – 162,150
