At the position of a school companion, you will provide individual and tailored support for students with disabilities at all types of schools. This includes actively accompanying them in all aspects of school life. The main tasks of a school companion are to facilitate integration into the school and classroom community, as well as enabling participation in education.

Your responsibilities:

  • Accompanying and providing guidance in the classroom
  • Promoting communication skills
  • Facilitating integration into the school and classroom community
  • Strengthening social skills
  • Providing a sense of security and trust
  • Assisting with practical life skills learning
  • Fostering responsibility and commitment

Your profile:

  • Completed training as a special needs educator, teacher, or have completed a year of practical training in social work and social pedagogy, or have a comparable qualification with relevant work experience and personal suitability
  • Students of pedagogy, social pedagogy, special education, and social assistants are also welcome
  • Career changers are also welcome
  • Interest in working with children and adolescents with emotional disabilities
  • Reliability, selfconfidence, and a high level of social competence and empathy
