    About Blood Services at HSA

    We ensure a safe and sufficient blood supply for both public and private hospitals.

    We are seeking motivated individuals to join HSA's Blood Resources Division - Blood Bank team. As a part of this team, you will play a vital role in securing the nation's blood supply. In this customer-facing position, you will be responsible for essential blood collection support tasks within a dynamic and close-knit team. Your duties may involve working at one of the existing blood bank facilities or mobile teams.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    • As the first point of contact with donors at our blood collection centers, you will handle inquiries, assist with appointment bookings, and manage feedback.
    • Perform registration tasks such as registering donors for donation and phlebotomy linking.
    • Conduct hemoglobin testing, explain deferral if needed, check and sort blood bags and sample tubes, and pass them to the laboratory.
    • Support the blood collection team with operational admin follow-up duties.

    Additional Responsibilities for SBPAs:

    In addition to the above, SBPAs will assist in blood collection processes. Candidates with limited exposure to Phlebotomy are encouraged to apply as training will be provided before deployment.

    • Support blood collection operations within donation rooms.
    • Assist in Whole Blood and Apheresis procedures, including blood bag preparation and registering donors.
    • Conduct hemoglobin testing and handle blood bags and sample tubes.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum education of GCE N/O Level or equivalent.
    • Experienced professionals seeking a career change are welcome.
    • Rostered shifts include mornings, afternoons, and weekends across a 5-day work week; no night shifts required.
    • Applicants with Phlebotomy skills or at least 2 years of experience in similar roles will be considered for SBPA positions.

    Our Blood banks operate 6 days a week between 9 am - 8 pm (operating hours may vary).
