    Description

    DSJ Global is collaborating with a top automobile manufacturing organization searching to incorporate a Supplier Quality Manager to their Summerville, South Carolina team. This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing the quality system, enhancing supplier performance, interpreting statistical quality control data, and ensuring product compliance with quality standards and specifications.


    Position: Supplier Quality Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all supplier quality activities.
    • Drive process and performance enhancements at suppliers as a "Change Agent".
    • Conduct supplier process audits, readiness reviews, and manage corrective actions.
    • Administer supplier rating systems for internal and external purposes.
    • Coordinate and approve progress checks and aid suppliers with advanced product quality planning (APQP).
    • Develop proactive strategies for enhancing supplier quality.
    • Assess, analyze, and approve supplier PPAP submissions.
    • Provide training and support to help suppliers enhance process control and capability.
    • Lead, manage, and monitor supplier progress for successful product introductions.
    • Visit suppliers, provide training, and reinforce quality standards.
    • Manage the new product approval process with plant quality staff.
    • Travel as needed to support plants and supplier growth.
    • Maintain awareness of activities' relevance in achieving quality goals.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
    • 5-7 years of professional experience in quality management systems and continuous improvement methods & tools.
    • Knowledge of IATF-16949 audit processes and ability to enforce compliance.
    • Certifed VDA Auditor and ISO/IATF 16949 & ASQ Certifications.
