***:***: As a part of our Integrated Healthcare team, this position will provide administrative support to the NAC Provider and the Clinic's daily operations under the supervision of the Senior Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General office duties (mail, fax, file, copy, office supplies).
- Confirms, schedules, and reschedules appointments as needed.
- Greets patients and assists with patient information form completion, properly verifies insurance eligibility for all appointments.
- Follows proper procedure to check the patient in for the day's services.
- Documents in EHR promptly and accurately.
- Coordinates all aspects of Covid19 testing and vaccine program (including scheduling, supplies, cleaning, and documentation).
- Coordinate care on behalf of patients with labs, behavioral health, and other specialty care providers.
- Follows up with the pharmacy, patients, and staff and coordinates a response back based on the consult with the medical staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment including patient care areas.
- Order appropriate medical supplies and maintain inventory for exam rooms, lab areas, and offices.
- Collect medicalrelated data and information on a quarterly basis to show evidence of patient goal progress and submit regular reports on data collection to leadership.
- Follow up accordingly/promptly on patient requests via phone/letter at the direction of medical practitioners. May coordinate with the involved parties on behalf of the patient.
- Follows up on missed medical appointments to appropriately reengage the patients.
- Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Electronic Medical Record experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledgeable about the economic, educational, and social problems of Native Americans and referral sources available
- Experience in working with the Native American population preferred
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- CPR/First Aid Certificate within 90 days of hire
- Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
- MS Office proficiency
- Bilingual
- Spanish desired
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must demonstrate critical thinking, problemsolving, and organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work well with others in a team approach
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to sit, stand, and walk with/ without accommodations
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT:
This position is exempt from overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
Non-Exempt employees are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked more than forty (40) hours per workweek.NATIVE AMERICAN PREFERENCE:
Preference is given to qualified Native American Applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act. If claiming a preference, a copy of valid documentation will be necessary.
