Duties and Responsibilities - Advertises vacant positions utilizing social media and appropriate media sources e.g. The Washington Post
- Conducts lifecycle recruitment of employees from creation to hire, to include position advertisement,
- Advises supervisors on appropriate salaries and utilize various salary sources as needed.
- Conducts training for department staff and supervisors, as needed, on employment matters including, but
- Reviews salaries of vacant position with departmental supervisors and conducts salary surveys as needed.
- Ensures uptodate job descriptions for all new hires in the personnel file and assist supervisors with
- Communicates with supervisors about the status of their advertised positions and provides expected plan
- Keeps record of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to
- Assists with implementation of specialized programs and training of faculty and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. PHR or other Human Resources certification desired.
Experience - Minimum three (3) years of experience in human resources to include one (1) year of recruiting experience required. Applicant Tracking System experience preferred. Familiarity with social media and professional networks preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS database software.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of employee recruitment and employment processes and procedures. Skilled in using computers and software to include Windows/Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); in organizing and executing multiple assignments under specific time constraints. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to provide guidance and training to others; to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure; to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact; and to accurately perform mathematical computations; to operate standard office equipment.
