    Description

    Role: ACI Network Engineer

    Location: Sane Jose, CA (Hybrid)

    Type: Contract W2

    Note: Need to be onsite Day 1

    Cisco IT deploys a unified fabric in the data center.

    With it we gain architectural flexibility and consistent networking across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

    The framework integrates with servers, storage, and orchestration platforms for faster application rollout, greater app performance, and lower operating costs. You will be responsible to design, implement, maintain, and support Cisco's growing network infrastructure.

    This position will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    Assist in building out a new ACI network fabric.

    Design, Configure, and Deploy Cisco 8K Series Routers

    Research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of (ACI) engineering principles.

    Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for ACI technologies

    Automate and perform daily operational duties supporting the Data Center Application Centric Infrastructure

    Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.

    Qualifications:

    5+ Years of experience

    Expertise configuring Nexus switches

    Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and automating ACI solutions

    Tier 2-3 escalation support experience in a Data Center environment

    Experience working with Cisco 7k, 8K, 9k Series Routers

    Expert executing basic Network Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP and working knowledge of IS-IS (Integrated Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System) for ACI routing.
