Stellar Energy's innovative solutions include turbine inlet air chilling, inlet air conditioning (heating and cooling), evaporative cooling, direct contact air chilling, thermal energy storage, district cooling and central utility plants.
The company's experience spans more than 20 years and stretches across the globe, with offices in the United States, Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Summary ObjectiveThe Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the proposal, design, and execution phases of the business as required.
Assigned projects could span multiple vertical markets, including Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Data Centers, Mission Critical, District Cooling, and Combined Heat and Power.
Specific functions include (but are not limited to):
weather profiles, performance
predicting/estimating,
sensitivity analysis, technical writing, specification reviews, and equipment/process calculations.

Work Location
This position will work out of our Main Office in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to SEA Fabrication Shop for observation and research are required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stand.The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Anticipated up to 5% travel for this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary. Occasional travel to customer job sites and conferences may be required.
Required Education and Experience.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Advanced Excel skills particularly with macros and VBA.
Familiarity with design procedures and inter-discipline communication.
Familiarity with engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangements, etc.).
Preferred Education and Experience
Proficiency with GT Pro or GT Master software.
3+ years working with Gas Turbine OEMs (preferably knowledgeable in all Gas Turbine OEMs product offerings).
Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
Familiarity with combustion turbine operation in power generation and/or oil and gas operation.
Familiarity with US Energy Markets.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Familiar with conducting business in multiple countries worldwide with various technologies (gas turbine, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generator, chillers, cooling tower, radiators, pumps, generators, transformers and motor control centers) and fuels (natural gas, diesel fuels, fuel oils and renewable fuels) for industrial, utility, municipal and commercial clients.
Familiar with mass and energy balances, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, material science, process safety, waste and waste water treatment, process design, and electrical engineering.
Work AuthorizationMust be authorized to work in the USA.
