    Position: Special Inspector - NY

    Reports to: Project Manager

    Technical Responsibilities

    • Effective communication with team members and clients at all levels.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Timely submission of inspection reports.
    • Transportation and valid driver's license.
    • Readiness to acquire additional certifications.
    • Collaboration within a team and autonomously.
    • Knowledge of Construction industry codes.
    • Responsive to client and management needs.

    Requirements:

    Educational Requirements

    High School Degree or Equivalent.- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

    Experience:- A minimum of 1 year of experience inspecting construction work in NYC, or equivalent.- Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code.

    Professional Licenses/Registrations - Must hold a valid certificate in 1 or more of the following:

    • Fall Protection, Scaffolding and ladders, work-zone safety, and OSHA Construction safety.

    Seeking certifications such as:

    • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI)
    • AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (AWS -CAWI)
    • ACI-1 – Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-CCSI)
    • ACI-1 – Associate Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-ACCSI)
    • ICC Concrete Special Inspector (ICC-CSI)
    • ICC Commercial Mechanical
    • ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
    • ICC Spray Applied Fire Proofing Special Inspector
    • ICC Soils Special Inspector
