Job Description

TheBCBA oversees a caseload of children with a primary diagnosis of autism, upthrough 18 years of age.
This oversight includes planning and developingbehavioral intervention strategies for the child and family, as well assupervision of 1-10 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), should the BCBAelect to use the RBT direct service model.
BCBA may beresponsible
for
providing
direct
therapy
in the
beginning
until a full caseload is established and techs are assigned.
JobResponsibilities
Providesbehavioral intervention services for children with the primary diagnosisof autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the child's natural environment.
Conductsfunctional behavioral and skills assessments in accordance to insuranceguidelines and as outlined by program policy manuals.
Develops,in consideration with an interdisciplinary team of developmental providers,behavior intervention plans and individualized service plans/programmingdesigned to improve child outcomes.
Attendsand participates in assigned meetings and trainings.
Providestraining and supervision to RBTs in accordance to requirements set by theBehavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) including completing RBTcompetency assessments and reassessments, contributing to continuedcompetence and professional growth of RBTs during supervision meetings,observation, providing written feedback and additional trainings asneeded.
Buildsand maintains positive family/caregiver relationships throughout theprimary service provider model by regularly including parentcoaching/trainings during scheduled home visits, reviewing progress andcollaborating on development of individualized service plans and behaviorintervention plans.
Documentall evaluations, assessments and sessions with family and other pertinentinteractions with child and family in accordance with program policy.Adheresto all Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) standards.

Knowledge/SkillsRequired
Musthave expertise in the areas of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), autism,child development and training/supervision.
Musthave experience performing or assisting in the following BCBAresponsibilities: conducting skills assessment (i.e., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R,AFLS, PEAK), conducting functional behavior assessments and/or functionalanalyses, program writing, data analysis, and creating behavior interventionplans.
Mustbe passionate and committed to early intervention.Mustbe professional, self-motivated, energetic and genuine.
Excellentoral and written communication skills required.
Computerliterate and ability to learn new skills related to current technology.
Musthave reliable transportation to travel to scheduled appointments.
Providea certificate of automobile insurance.
Mustpass a background check.
Abilityto take initiative, work independently, and demonstrate excellent timemanagement skills.
Culturallyaware.
Self-development.
EducationRequirements
Minimumof a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Certifiedand maintain credentialing with the Behavior Analyst. Certification Board(BACB) as a BCBA in good standing.
Holdsand maintains applicable state-level credentialing for practicing BCBAs ingood standing.
