Channel Control Merchants (CCM) offers a vertically integrated solution for retailers and manufacturers to manage returned and excess apparel, home goods, building supplies, and other consumer goods. CCM offers a full-service solution where inventory is sold in bulk or re-merchandized through a network of 73 Dirt Cheap, Treasure Hunt, and Dirt Cheap Building Supply stores in the Southeast and Texas that are underserved by traditional retail chains.
CCM helps support zero-waste initiatives of manufacturers and retailers by keeping product out of landfills. The company keeps over 90 million items out of landfills each year and gives brands full transparency and control of their returns and excess inventory through the entire re-commerce cycle.
In 2023, Hilco Global and Behrens Investment Group joined existing investor KKR in CCM. With its investors, CCM is establishing a new executive team to lead transformational growth and innovation for the business.
The Role
The Payroll and Expense Manager will be responsible for payroll, billing, and reimbursement. The Manager will work closely with the Deputy Controller, three accountants, and three payables clerks and manage one payroll administrator.
The company is currently based in Hattiesburg, MS with many employees working remotely. We are open to an employee in Hattiesburg on a hybrid schedule or a remote employee who can be on-site periodically and as needed.
Responsibilities
• Manage US payroll (Paylocity)
• Manage the system that tracks travel and expenses (moving from Concur to Hancock Whitney)
• Enter orders and apply payments for wholesale transactions
• Create and issue weekly payroll reports
• Manage travel and expense policies and reimbursements
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
• 7 to 10 years relevant work experience
• Success in a high volume ( i.e., 2,000 transactions per week) role
• Advanced Excel skills ( i.e., index, lookup, pivot)
• Experience with Paylocity
• Preferred: familiarity with Hancock Whitney's travel and expense program
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hit weekly deadlines
• Experience managing at least one other person
