    Parts Department Cashier

    Young Chevrolet is currently seeking a friendly and professional Parts Department Cashier with a positive attitude to assist our expanding Parts Department. The Cashier must possess excellent mathematics and computer skills and can multitask efficiently.

    Employee Prerequisites:

    • Onboarding process completed within days of applying
    • The ability to handle money and payments in a service cashier role is preferred. Pay based on experience.
    • Must be oriented with a keen ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
    • Basic computer and mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required to calculate invoices.

    Job functions include but not limited to:

    • Ensures the cash register and cash control are secure to ensure all amounts are correct. The Cashier records all transactions in the dealership's computer.
    • Prints receipts, reconciles billing and service payments, and receives refunds for the Parts Department.
    • Interprets and outlines the costs and fees to customers to ensure a thorough understanding of the amount paid.
    • Provides excellent customer service while efficiently and professionally receiving phone calls to provide a positive customer experience as the Cashier.
    • Maintains a professional appearance and escalates customer complaints to the Parts Director, if necessary.
    • Assists with general clerical functions. The Cashier maintains the cleanliness of the cashier window.
