- Provides creative and innovative leadership in managing the manufacturing operations of the fragrance facility.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates departmental activities to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Maintains fragrance production inventory requirements and delivers manufactured products to shipping to meet customer ship dates.
- Effectively coordinates raw material delivery with purchasing department.
- Verifies completeness of all manufacturing documents and that FIFO is followed in compounding.
- Improve performance on key metrics, SAFETY-DELIVERY-COST-INVENTORY.
- Maintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to production facility.
- Implements Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques. Evaluates, defines and implements methods to continually improve all functions in the materials management function.
- Leads the implementation of safe work practices and conditions; accountable for maintaining a safe environment for team members and visitors to the manufacturing facility.
- Oversees scheduling of work teams and initiates short and long-term planning with supervisors to ensure business needs are met under constantly changing business conditions.
- Prepares operating budgets for assigned area, reviews and finalizes budgets with the plant manager; develops and implements processes to ensure achievement of budgetary and service goals.
- Oversee cycle counts of product inventories; ensures all inventory is accurately accounted for and reported in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conducts performance appraisals and coach's direct reports to enhance individual and team performance; assists in the development of individual and team performance improvement goals to support achievement of company objectives.
- Ensure all processes and procedures related to inventory management are maintained and followed. Includes but not limited to inventory movements related to production regarding quantities consumed, and proper storage.
- Manage Expired material Write-off procedure from Identification of Candidates (QC) to removal from SAP
- Ensure Raw Material Storage Conditions are maintained as per QC direction.
- Manage WO material disposal and/or Pot Pouri Inventory with Sales Team
- Assist Warehouse Manager with coordination of Cycle Count activities. Maintain CC calendar and post results Quarterly.
- Insure Bib Location Accuracy in all warehouse storage areas - Partial Container
- Report FIFO performance monthly to Team. Conduct CAPA and RCA as needed to improve results.
- Coordinate Annual Physical Inventory

Responsible for overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations, including manufacturing itself, production control, manufacturing engineering, inventory control, as well as materials functions, and shipping/receiving activities.
Essential Job Functions:

Educational Qualifications: B.S. Degree in science/engineering related discipline preferred or 10+ years management experience in the F&F industry.
Experience: At least 5 -7 years of progressively responsible management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience within fragrance manufacturing experience required. Production Planning and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred, as well as experience with SAP or a similar system.
Competencies: Successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Will have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment. Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations. Computer literate, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications. "Change Agent." Requires broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment, General Safety. (basic OSHA STDs, OSHA 10). Supervisory Harassment Prevention (BMP), Quality System Awareness (cGMP, HACCP).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be capable of regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear during an hour work shift.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of materials on a repetitive basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may handle hazardous chemicals, solvents or mixtures. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, eye protection, gloves, uniforms and safety shoes. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active work.
