- Create, update, and apply protocols to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in a variety of OS, containers, and microservices in a complex heterogeneous environment.
- Design and implement procedures for vulnerability scans and security configuration management.
- Respond to and document security incidents efficiently, ensuring swift resolution.
- Contribute to risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
- Implement cloud security best practices and secure cloud environments.
- Manage firewall requests, Let's Encrypt certificates and web traffic flow.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Security Specialist in a complex, multi-system UNIX environment.
- Demonstrated experience with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux distributions).
- In-depth understanding of IT security best practices.
- Proficiency with security scanning tools.
- Familiarity with relevant frameworks like NIST SP
- Experience with security tools like BigFix, Tenable Security Center, and Web Application Firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and cloud-based security (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

You will be a key player in maintaining a robust security posture and collaborating with technical teams to implement best practices.
This position offers the opportunity to work independently while also contributing to strategic IT security initiatives.Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Security Specialist IV: $135,000 to $150,000.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
