Scheduling Coordinator Overview


Join our team as a Scheduling Coordinator where you will be primarily responsible for schedule, staffing, and overseeing schedule implementation across our school programs.

The Scheduling Coordinator ensures that staffing meets regulatory requirements, staffing needs are met daily for each program, and each classroom's schedules reflect the daily staffing.

Other duties will be determined as this is a new position.


Scheduling Coordinator Schedule and Salary Information

  • Starting pay is $26.61 and depends on experience.

Scheduling Coordinator Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Service Field, or Psychology
  • Coursework in early childhood development or young children with special needs preferred
  • Valid US driver's license and minimum age of 2
  • Prefer two years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis or with a related population

Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Ensures all shifts have supervisory coverage and maintenance of appropriate staff to student ratios.
  • Ensures the schedule is completed no later than the 15th of the month for the upcoming month.
  • Documents changes to the schedule immediately as changes occur.
  • Schedules each staff per their job description.
  • Schedules should be done a month ahead of time and then the Scheduling Coordinator will work to fill openings and daily call outs.
  • Documents and monitors all calls received when on call.
  • Schedules transportation shifts weekly between school & residence.
  • Coordinates & schedules quarterly transport training refreshers for school staff.
  • Schedules new staff training for transport at the residences.
  • Monitors use of overtime and schedules overtime when needed.
  • Reviews vacation requests, maintains vacation calendar, and submits requests to Director of School Services for final review.
  • Reviews timesheets on a biweekly basis, follows up with staff as needed and approves timesheets
  • Works with Director to schedule meetings, including coordination with other departments (i

nursing, clinical) as needed.

  • Obtains training rosters and agendas for staff meetings, ensuring they are received as scheduled prior to submitting them to the Training Coordinator.'
