Educational Coordinator & Department Overview

Are you ready to use your background in Special Education and BCBA certification to have ongoing impact? Our Educational Coordinators have a key role in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students where intellectual, emotional, and social growth flourish Overseeing 2 classrooms of 6-8 students each, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team to develop and implement tailored teaching plans. Melmark is known nationally as an industry leader in quality-driven initiatives and focuses on affecting positive change in the quality of life of the individuals we serve by implementing data-driven trend analyses.

Educational Coordinator Requirements

Masters Degree in Education or Special Education
BCBA
Severe Special Education certification
At least 3 years experience in a special education setting and supervisory experience.

Educational Coordinator Responsibilities

Serves as a clinician for a caseload of students
Completes annual/intake assessments and reports
Prepares for IEP meetings, including IEP writing for behavior need area, Behavior Support Plan (BSP) development, Functional Behavior Assessment, Preference Assessment and other supporting documents.
Facilitates treatment efficacy by recommending scientifically validated and most effective least restrictive treatment procedures.
Holds weekly classroom meetings and completes corresponding training roster and documentation.
Ensures all data collection is accurate as prescribed by target behavior and instructional programming.
Provides daily in classroom support as prescribed by schedule.
