The Behavior Analyst of the Pallotta School provides staff, students, caregivers, and school systems with support and treatment recommendations for students of the Pallotta School for both the Extended Evaluation program and Day School program.

The Behavior Analyst works directly with students and families with BCBA services outlined on the students Individual Education Plan, in addition to other responsibilities as outlined by the Clinical Director.

The Behavior Analyst is able to assess and intervene with students to address their developmental and behavioral needs.

The Behavior Analyst works as part of a multidisciplinary academic and clinical team and oversees/guides the staff and caregivers on how to implement behavior modification plans with students as well as to assess student progress through data collection and analysis.

The Behavior Analyst works in collaboration with the Clinical Director to provide staff trainings on behavior analytic principles and behavior management strategies.

The Behavior Analyst collaborates with each students team, including family and caregivers or outside providers, in order to increase access to education curriculum and clinical programming.

The Behavior Analyst is focused on helping students achieve success and reach their fullest potential and independence.

The Behavior Analyst works intensively with students and multidisciplinary team members in the school environment to establish behavior supports, help students develop independent skills, and teach students adaptive behavior skills.

In collaboration with the Clinical Director, the Behavior Analyst will assist in overseeing the Positive Behavior Reinforcement System at the School, including collecting data, organizing materials, and providing feedback to staff on system implementation.

In collaboration with the Pallotta School Clinical Team, caregiver support groups may be offered in the evening to teach behavior regulation techniques to families.

Further, collaboration and consultation with residential team members for Residential Education students may be provided as needed. This is a salaried full-time position

The Behavior Analyst reports directly to the Clinical Director.

This individual will provide inspiration to the students and school community, show loyalty, pride, and passion for working at IHC, and demonstrate hard work and creativity.

The Behavior Analyst works in close collaboration with the educational and clinical staff to ensure the Pallotta School is capturing the perfect balance between academics and clinical and behavioral progress.


Assessment and Treatment Planning

  • Develop positive connection and rapport with the student and family
  • Provide BCBA services as outlined on Individual Education Plan
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Develop and modify Individual Behavior Support Plans based on results of Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Identify goals and objectives for Individual Education Plans based on Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Attend team and school meetings and perform school observations initially and regularly under direction of the Clinical Director
  • Design and supervise interventions; provide coaching and modeling for assistant teachers and teachers as well as caregivers based on evidencebased practices to implement objectives and teach replacement behaviors, such as Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Verbal Behavior, and Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
  • Run social skills programs for children and parent coaching groups
  • Address some of the following domains: functional communication, cognitive functioning, safety, socialization, play and leisure, community integration, vocational skills, coping and tolerance skills, selfadvocacy skills, attending and social referencing, and reduction of maladaptive behaviors
  • Participation in planful and meaningful discharge processes

Documentation

  • Document Functional Behavior Assessment
  • Develop and maintain data collection system for behavioral progress for Individual Behavior Plans
  • Complete documentation for quarterly IEP progress reports and annual IEP goals and objectives
  • Conduct and document behavioral observations across relevant settings
  • Document work with collateral contacts
  • Provide discharge summary and recommendations upon student graduation or discharge from
