- Serve as a liaison between the Headquarters and the international entities, primarily through email, telephone, and video conferences, with occasional overseas travel.
- Assist international entities in preparing annual budgets, ensuring adherence to group deadlines.
- Prepare financial statements comparing departmental performance to budget for international subsidiaries, meeting monthly reporting deadlines.
- Analyze financial performance of international subsidiaries and investigate unusual variances.
- Convert monthly financial statements from international subsidiaries into USD for consolidation purposes.
- Review and aid international subsidiaries in calculating monthly percentage of completion for projects, investigating any irregularities.
- Reconcile intercompany account balances with international subsidiaries and oversee reconciliation processes.
- Prepare consolidated schedules of international subsidiaries for annual audits, collaborating with external auditors.
- Participate in selecting external accounting and audit firms for international subsidiaries.
- Provide approval for cash disbursements in international subsidiaries lacking local internal accounting staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant US GAAP requirements.
- Assist in creating and maintaining standardized reporting packages for international subsidiaries.
- Develop templates for annual budgets of international subsidiaries and manage change control processes.
- 3-5 years of auditing or similar experience (i.e. needs to show a progression of broadening accounting skills)
- 1-3 years of Financial Analyst experience
- Demonstrate strong financial analytical capabilities in identifying discrepancies and variances.
- Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly in frequent interactions with international colleagues.
- Display confidence in defending positions with logical reasoning, delivering clear, concise, and compelling arguments in a positive manner.
- Maintain professionalism in all aspects of work, consistently delivering superior quality results.
- Demonstrate the ability to produce highly accurate and dependable work.
