- Through observation of equipment during the day, you will be leading the maintenance team, overseeing maintenance, supply management, cleaning and special projects with regard to our production line and facilities.
- Help develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Carry out inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues
- Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (maintenance techs, custodians, janitors etc.)
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
- Coach, counsel and discipline employees
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Manager.
- Proven experience as maintenance manager or supervisor ( similar manager role)
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent or Vocational Technical Certificate training in at least one of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at times throughout the day as well as bend, climb, reach, stoop & twist.
- Detailed work ethic, be enthusiastic, committed, proactive and resourceful; effectively gets the job done.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and thoughtful manner with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
