    Middle School Math Teacher

    The Awty International School seeks a full-time Middle School Math Teacher for the school year. The school is looking for an energetic, creative person who interacts with students and colleagues in a professional manner and is eager to become part of our Secondary Faculty team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.

    Minimum Requirements :

    • BA or equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a similar scientific field
    • 2 years of teaching experience in Middle School Mathematics
    • 5 years of teaching experience Ideal Candidate :
      • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Education and/or Mathematics Education
      • Experience teaching Upper School Math courses, such as Geometry and Algebra II.
      • Experience teaching IB Mathematics (MYP and/or DP)
      • Fluency with mathematical technology such as Desmos, GeoGebra, Wolfram Alpha, graphing calculators, etc.
      • Interest in leading Math clubs, competitions, or other extracurricular activities
      • Fluency in a second language (e.g. French or Spanish) We want individuals who can work collaboratively in a culture that promotes academic rigor and success for all its students.
