Director of Safety and Security - Brockton, United States - Brockton Public Schools
Description
This position presents an opportunity for an experienced law enforcement or security professional who is committed to fostering a safe and secure environment for both students and staff.
The Director of Safety and Security will be entrusted with the task of formulating and overseeing a comprehensive safety program that encompasses daily operations as well as strategic long-term objectives for district wide school safety, security, emergency management, risk management, access control, and transportation services.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is required.
Significant experience (at least 5 years) in law enforcement, security management, or a related field is essential. This might include prior work as a law enforcement, security supervisor, or in a similar role.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments of school facilities to identify potential vulnerabilities, develop strategies to address them. Provide guidance and support to school administrators in handling security-related incidents and investigations. Develop and deliver security awareness training and educational programs for staff and students. Supervise Security personnel.
Ability to manage budget and personnel. Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
