    Description
    • Answer clinical incoming calls promptly and courteously.
    • Serve as the liaison for patient communication and updates related to their care in addition to corresponding with each patient to establish an understanding of their post-surgical recovery, routine medication refills, and clinical concerns and escalate to the practitioner when necessary.
    • Document correspondence in the patient's chart with conversations and next steps while utilizing proper grammar.
    • Providing high level customer service to our patients independently.
    • Follow established processes, protocols, and department procedures to perform high quality of care.
    • Verify patient demographic information including date of birth in our EMR system and update information as appropriate.
    • Scan and fax documents, uploading them to the patient's chart.
    • Create patient appointments, per provider's request.
    • Fax orders to external imaging, physical therapy/ occupational therapy facilities, etc. per practitioner request.
    • Perform other duties or tasks as requested within the clinical team.
    Requirements
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Certified as Medical Assistant, LPN, EMT is desired
    • Basic understanding of medical terminology
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology
    • Knowledge of medical diagnosis preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Basic understanding of HIPAA
    • Ability to multitask in a busy work environment
