Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler I to join our Ashland business at our Freetown, MA location.

This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the warehouse function. This position will report to the Materials Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Performs and documents shipping materials, receiving, production orders and filling other material movementsVerifies incoming and outgoing materials shipments at the time of physical shipping/receivingDocuments discrepancies between recorded and actual counts on shipping/receiving documentation (including carrier's copy) and reports to Supervisor immediatelyPerforms shipping/receiving materials movement data entries in SAPPerforms on-hand physical inventory counts as requiredIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to interpret SDSAbility to safely operate a forklift (requires a valid Driver's License)Ability to lift/pull/push 50+ lbs.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
Previous warehouse or industrial experienceMaterial Handling Courses and/or certificateExperience using SAP or other ERP softwareForklift driving experienceKnowledge of DOT rules on hazardous materials transportationIn more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC
