    **OVERVIEW**

    We are looking for a Merchandise Planning Analyst who thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment. This roles core responsibilities are to create pricing and product assortments offered within the television programs that maximize the revenue opportunity while properly balancing product assortment and price points. Our planners work closely with our Merchandising, Finance, Web Operations, Line Producing and Programming to drive revenue performance while exceeding our customer expectations.

    **RESPONSIBILITIES**

    A Merchandise Planning Analyst is responsible for helping to drive the execution of Pricing, Scripting, Inventory Management and Promotional strategies for their assigned categories. Key responsibilities include:

    Prepare inventory, sales reports and in-depth analysis, create show recaps and attend and actively participate in cross-functional meetings to review show performance and recommend improvements based on historical data trends.

    Working in coordination with the planning manager of a category, analyze sales and inventory trends and help create compelling pricing and product assortment recommendations for programs on-air and the website. Perform duties according to company policies and procedures with latitude for independent judgment and initiative.

    Help establish re-orders for products and identify slow-moving inventory for liquidation.

    **QUALIFICATIONS**

    Bachelors degree in Economics, Marketing, Merchandising, Accounting, Finance and/or Analytics.

    1-2 years inventory planning experience in retail /merchandising/marketing environment preferred.

    Demonstrated experience in a PC/Windows environment, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    Excellent analytical skills are required, including the ability to recognize actionable trends in data.

    Strong teamwork capabilities.

    Action and results oriented with the ability to own/make decisions to achieve desired results.

    Communicate early and clearly.
