    Description

    Currently, StaffBright has a great Quality Engineer opportunity near Romulus. We are seeking individuals with 3+ years of relevant experience within the automotive industry (supplier or OEM).

    ***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Instruct, coach and certify Brose Employees in PMP, E-FAST, and APPS Principles with the correct use and application of all project tools for your assigned region
    • Maintain a project list showing status of all open initiatives
    • Drive PMP Sustainability with each Plants Problem-Solving Coordinator and PMP trainer and ensure they execute their roles and responsibilities as defined by the Problem-Solving Competency Model
    • Approve/certify each Plant PMP Trainer in your region
    • Ensure select plant/corporate employees required to be a certified problem solver are completing project work using the appropriate reporting format
    • Maintain a Pareto focus using a PDCA methodology within each plant to ensure improvement opportunities are identified to address highest financial impact/technically difficult projects
    • Provide plant and corporate support on customer calls regarding quality, engineering, validation, and warranty issues to ensure problem-solving confidence is communicated effectively
    • Support manufacturing plants and customers to resolve/prevent quality concerns for all Brose Products
    • Evaluate and determine root cause and corrective actions for warranty returns, customer complaints, and supplier non-conformances
    • Work with the regional problem-solving team to modify PMP, E-FAST, and APPS training material, as required

    What We Need From You

    To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

    • 3+ years of relevant experience
    • Must come from automotive (supplier OR OEM)
    • Strong problem-solving skills (5Why, Fishbone, APQP, PAPP)
    • Seat Assembly experience is a plus
    • Bachelors Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering is a plus
