- Support all activities to achieve and maintain management system and standards (i.e. IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Support APQP and product/process change initiatives.
- Develop standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Reduce internal and external quality incidents through process development, improvement, and other activities to improve capability of production lines.
- Track trends and performance in real time to avert part issues prior to occurrence
- Serve as company representative with customer. Helps resolve customer issues and participates in the problem-solving exercise through root cause analysis and improvement plan following the 8D methodology.
- Develops SOPs within the scope of work, compiles and uploads supplemental documents for traceability and record retention
- Ensure Quality Techs work according to defined standards and processes
- Review quality production data for compliance to production quality
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts training to Quality or Process Engineering personnel in creating PFMEA, control plan and check sheets in Plex.
- Experience working for an automotive supplier as a Quality Engineer in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with peers, all levels of management and external customers preferred.
- Working knowledge with customer portals including Ford and Stellantis preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (strong relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree with High School Diploma or GED) required.
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings, develop PFMEAs and control plans.
- Experience with problem solving tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Experience working with Plex preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. required.
