- Collaborate with process and cross-functional teams to incorporate essential quality tools throughout the organization, including but not limited to PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, Equipment, Advanced problem-solving, and 6-Sigma.
- Analyze quality data, such as scrap, rework, and product/process capacities, and collaborate with the core plant team to implement corrective actions.
- Verify the effectiveness of defined actions to resolve quality issues.
- Develop and implement quality procedures and potentially participate in internal auditing as part of the internal team.
- Engage in process and product improvement projects in coordination with engineering and production teams.
- Facilitate quality considerations in product development, process development, and manufacturing for both new and existing products.
- Review and recommend new inspection methods and equipment to ensure accurate measurement and assessment of product characteristics.
- Assist in the development of FMEAs, qualification plans, control plans, inspection methods, and sampling procedures.
- Maintain AQP documentation in alignment with process improvement and corrective action activities.
- Support manufacturing in creating job instructions and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, AS9100, ISO 13485 and relevant government regulations and standards.
- Utilize problem-solving methods (8D report, 5 Whys, cause mapping), and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Participate in APQP activities and provide support for new product launches, including reviewing, procuring, and approving PPAP documentation.
- Conduct internal/external audits and manage follow-up activities.
- Interpret drawings and dimensional requirements, select appropriate measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, height gauge, optical comparator, etc.), and perform necessary measurements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School Diploma.
- Preferred: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment, with expertise in one or more areas such as CNC machining, welding, assembly, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
- Proficiency in core tools, including 8D, root cause analysis, 5 Whys, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for the development of quality documentation.
- Understanding of FMEA, Control Plan, and GD&T.
- Proficient in inspection methodologies using various gages.
