Research Associate (f/m/d):


fixed-term until June 30, 2026 .


The responsibilities of the position will include the following aspects:

  • Establishing and leading an independent research group in the field of ethical AI
  • Developing a distinct research profile and writing research proposals to secure thirdparty funding
  • Acquiring public funding projects at national and international levels
  • Collaborating with partner universities in the interdisciplinary research network SAIL (SustAInable Lifecycle of Intelligent Socio-Technical Systems)
  • Presenting research results at highlevel national and international conferences and in journals
  • Supervising doctoral students and scientific staff
  • Independent teaching at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at TH OWL

If you meet the following requirements, we look forward to receiving your application:

  • Completed academic degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Excellent doctoral degree
  • Publications at national and international conferences or in journals
  • Indepth knowledge of artificial intelligence and interest in ethical design of AI systems
  • Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are advantageous
  • Proactivity, communication skills, organizational ability, assertiveness, and teamwork
  • Previous experience in securing thirdparty
