- Maintains a high level of proficiency in network, wireless, and network security technologies
- Designs, builds, deploys, and administers complex network, wireless and network security environments
- Recommends improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
- Creates and maintains as-built documentation and network operations reports as required
- Collaborates with partners and vendors to deploy infrastructure and provide operational support
- Supports trouble tickets and dispatches maintenance personnel as required
- Provides on-call support during off-hours, holidays and weekends on a rotational basis.
- Other duties as assigned by the Network Manager
- Identifies network automation opportunities and leads automation efforts
- Coordinates and implements network changes in accordance with the change management procedures
- 7+ years of experience installing and supporting data network solutions
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network routing, switching, wireless, security, and datacenter architectures
- Experience working with Cisco network routers and switches
- Experience leading critical network, wireless and network security projects
- Experience mentoring junior network technicians
- Experience working with Cisco Wireless, Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Aruba SDWAN and Cradlepoint network technologies
- Active CCNA certification or equivalent experience required
- Associate or higher degree or equivalent experience required
- Active CCNP or higher certification a plus
- Information security certifications or equivalent training completed a plus
