- Operate manual saws, chop saws, and nail guns to cut and assemble plywood and other materials.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all equipment, especially saws, are properly guarded.
- Assist with the assembly and building of roof trusses, if applicable.
- Utilize a hammer and other tools as needed for packaging and assembly tasks.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all packaged materials meet company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packaging area.
- Operate cranes, if trained and certified, to move materials as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks, if required.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
- Willingness to undergo training and learn new skills as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with operating manual saws, chop saws, and nail guns.
- Ability to use hand tools such as hammers effectively.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them at all times.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Crane operation experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid driver's license for lumber yard drivers, if applicable.
