Creative Financial Staffing is partnered with an international law firm looking to add a Cash Applications Specialist to their Boston team. They are looking for a candidate with a basic understanding of accounting who is ready to learn.

Established in the Boston area in 1948, they offer a variety of legal services
They have a large team of legal professionals served by the accounting department
They have a steady volume of 60 verdicts per year, making this a fast-paced environment
Convenient location in downtown Boston near South Station

Responsibilities to be Taught to the Cash Applications Specialist:

Sorting, scanning, and processing incoming mail
Receiving wires and ACH payments, researching and reconciling where necessary
After initial training, learning transfers and processing voids
Assisting with process automation over the next few months

Background Expected of the Cash Applications Specialist:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or experience equivalent (4 years of accounting experience)
In addition to any education, one year of experience in an office setting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, or cash processing responsibilities is required
Experience with a major ERP or database
Ability to learn new processes and adapt to new software
