    job summary:


    A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed in the Rochester, NY area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products.

    The Senior Mechanical Engineer leads complex mechanical design projects for electronic packaging, troubleshoots engineering issues, interfaces with stakeholders.

    responsibilities:

    • Independently develops and implements concepts for a range of significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions.
    • Leads and executes engineering projects, including research and development of new technologies.
    • Identifies and troubleshoots a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems.
    • Performs or specifies significantly complex engineering analysis.
    • Interfaces with internal and external customers to address high-value engineering problems for various products.
    • Generates product specifications and coordinates, performs, and documents engineering tests.
    • Specifies and reviews engineering documentation and processes.

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (preferably NX) and Teamcenter.
    • Hands-on experience with mechanical development and design of high-voltage products.
    • Experience in analysis, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and root-causing electro-mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related software.
    • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
    • Team player with the ability and self-motivation to learn quickly and independently.
    • Demonstrated strong technical leadership skills and commitment to delivering high-quality products within strict deadlines.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10 years of experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design.
