    Part-Time Groomer Assistant

    Description

    West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates is now hiring for a part-time grooming assistant/bather to join our team

    This role is responsible for assisting with all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that pets are neat, clean, and look their best. To be successful, you should be able to comply with pet owners' instructions as well as accommodate any special requests that they may have.

    Here is What Your Day May Consist of:
    • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and well-being of all pets in our care.
    • Provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all pets.
    • Bathe and dry animals of various sizes and temperaments.
    • Communicate with clients regarding their pet's grooming and boarding needs.
    • Assist with grooming equipment setup and cleanup.
    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum grooming and kennel areas.
    • Brush and comb out coats as necessary.
    • Providing before and after pictures of your work.
    • Providing excellent customer service to our clients
    • Managing temperamental pets
    • Nail trimmings and ear cleanings
    • Maintain inventory of grooming and cleaning supplies.
    Here is What You May Bring to the Position:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least one year of animal care experience.
    • Flexible availability
    • Maintain patience with animals
    • Must pass a qualification interview at our location
