Your tasks and responsibilities


Your responsibilities include processing and deciding on complex cases (especially new applications) as well as reviewing eligibility for benefits and ensuring timely payment of benefits based on the Social Code Book II (SGB II).

You will provide advice to clients and those seeking assistance during the application process and regarding ongoing benefit provision under the SGB II (unemployment benefits II/social benefits) and provide information on complex cases.

You will work closely with internal departments (e.g. job placement) and external agencies (e.g. health insurance companies, pension insurance providers, youth and social welfare agencies, or housing benefit offices).
You will serve as a contact person for colleagues and review decisions on benefit applications for accuracy and legality.
You will also handle ongoing case processing in your assigned area (e.g. renewals, adjustments in benefit calculations due to changes, or requests for documents). This may also include handling appeals, cancellations, and reimbursements, as well as requests for review or replacement claims.
