    Ojo Spa Resorts seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to join the HR Department at Ojo Santa Fe Resort and Spa.

    Our HR Coordinator office is situated in the beautiful location of Santa Fe, NM. Nestled amidst breathtaking high desert landscapes, Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort offers a wide range of amenities and activities that promote relaxation and rejuvenation. One of the resort's highlights is our triple-filtered spring waters, sourced from Ojo's own natural aquifer, renowned for their healing properties. We have multiple pools to choose from, each offering a unique temperature and ambiance. In addition, our employees have the privilege of enjoying complimentary access to the pools from Monday to Thursday with a guest, and they are eligible for discounted rates on spa treatments and dining experiences.

    Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will also help to ensure consistency within and between Ojo Spa Resorts (Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa and Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort) and will provide superior customer service to the Resort General Managers, managers, and employees.

    The HR functions you will assist with include:

    Recruitment Support:

    • Assist in the recruitment process, which includes updating job postings to attract qualified candidates.
    • Conducts pre-screening interviews.
    • Conduct reference checks on prospective candidates.
    • Arends job fairs, prepares information to distribute at job fairs.
    • Performs background checks according to FCRA regulations.
    Onboarding and Orientation:
    • Coordinate new hire onboarding by preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and ensuring all new hire paperwork is accurately completed on time.
    • Orders/reorders name badges and business cards.
    • Maintains the uniform inventory including purchasing, receiving, and organizing the Uniform room. Obtains signed Uniform Leases from employees.
    • Sets up new employee files, both digital and hardcopy.
    Data Management:
    • Manage employee data and systems, such as HRIS (Paylocity) and personnel files, with a particular focus on the prompt and accurate filing of sensitive data, such as records of disciplinary actions and changes in employment status.
    • Ensures that personnel files, both in physical and electronic formats, adhere to all applicable legal requirements and company procedures.
    Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and benefit terminations.
    • Assist employees with benefit inquiries.
    • Assists with organizing annual open enrollment communications and election process.
    • Supports the quarterly 401k open enrollment process by assembling informational packets, creating posters, and conducting meetings with employees.
    • Monitors hours worked for all hourly employees to determine continued eligibility for medical, dental and vision insurance.
    • Assists with administering the Ojo Bucks program.
    Performance Management:
    • Support the performance management process by tracking and monitoring performance evaluations and assisting in goal setting and development plans.
    Training and Development:
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    Workers' Compensation:
    • Report, maintain, and monitor all workers' compensation case files, and follow up on open cases to ensure proper resolution.
    FMLA and Leave of Absence:
    • Process and track FMLA requests, ensuring compliance with FMLA regulations and guidelines.
    • Administer and maintain records for other types of leaves of absence, such as personal leaves and medical leaves, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
    • Communicate with employees about their FMLA and leave of absence rights and responsibilities.
    Compliance and Documentation:
    • Assist in the maintenance of HR-related policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and accessible to employees.
    • Prepare documentation for compliance reporting and audits as needed.
    Additional Duties:
    • Manage HR-related spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
    • Generate reports from spreadsheets for HR and management decisions.
    • Engages in the coordination of employee events, including those focused on Core Values.
    • Collaborate with HR team members on various HR projects and initiatives, providing support as required.
    • Occasionally assists the accounting team with a variety of tasks.
    • Stay informed about HR-related laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization's HR processes remain in compliance.
    • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
    Requirements

    1. Minimum of one year of human resources experience preferred.

    2. An associate's degree preferred.

    3. Experience in hospitality a plus.

    4. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a plus.

    5. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.

    6. Knowledge of HR-related laws, regulations, and best practices.

    7. Strong computer skills including HRIS systems. Paylocity experience a plus.

    8. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; open to feedback and having a collaborative style a must.

    9. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    11. Adaptable. Desire to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

    12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

    14. Due to the natural environment of Ojo Spa Resorts, must be comfortable outdoors, navigating uneven ground, diverse terrain, and multiple stairs.

    15. Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds or less.

    16. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and the ability to speak and communicate in a professional manner.
