    The Navy Warfare Development Center (NAVWARDEVCEN) is seeking support for a Senior Domino Database Manager III who will be responsible for database web development and administration support and will perform routine customer support of IT systems and applications to modernize legacy systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the development of database projects and provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
    • Evaluate and analyze functional business requirements, workflow, and existing processes and interfaces.
    • Apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and practices consistent with sound Database Management Systems (DBMS) principles
    • and existing customer standards and planning documents.
    • Apply activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis, and performance measurement techniques to develop functional specifications and logical and physical database designs.
    • Project long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
    • Plan and budget staff and data resources to support application developers in planning
    • preparation, load analysis, and backup and recovery of data.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations on Database Management Systems (DBMS) concepts.
    • Provide weekly and monthly activity reports highlighting tasks, upcoming tasks, detailing issues, and other development and support.
    • Support business development activities as required (e.g., customer technical capabilities briefings, past performance content, technical solutions).
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related field
    • 10+ years of experience of which at least 1 year must be specialized in Database Management Systems OR
    • No degree required with a high school diploma or GED equivalent if there are 10+ years of experience of which at least 8 years must be specialized in Database Management Systems
    • Must have the following technical skills with 10+ years of experience:
    • IBM Lotus Domino 8.0 or greater, Security+ CE, Microsoft Office MCSE, Microsoft Certified Professional
    • Must have the following technical skills with 7+ years of experience:
    • Oracle DBA
    • Must have the following technical skills with 5+ years of experience:
    • Active Directory Experience, Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud, VM Ware, HTML, JAVA, XML, JQUERY, PowerShell, Navy JLLS Connection
    • Secret clearance required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
    • Have demonstrated knowledge of Database Management Systems.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to be an accomplishment-oriented, team player, and an individual contributor.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, be proactive, and assume additional responsibility and accountability.
    • Ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; continual attention to detail, establishes priorities and meets deadlines.
    • Ability to format and create training courses and learning materials.
    • Strong MS Office Suite skills.
    • Experience with MS teams.
    • Adapt strategy to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands and rapidly be able to assimilate new information.
    • Ability to approach others tactfully; react well under pressure; treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or posture; accept responsibility for own actions; follow through on commitments.
