    The position requires that you meet the CMS definition of a QIDP or QDDP to be considered.
    Typical tasks include:
  • Develop and implement individual service plans for a small caseload of intensive cases, including coordination and monitoring of care/services
  • Participate in the evaluation of the program's quality assurance and compliance through quality reviews
  • Provide regularly scheduled supervision to assigned Clinician I and Clinician II employees to include training, assignment of cases, and evaluation work
  • Provide program orientation to new staff
  • Complete monthly probationary evaluations on new employees
  • Complete annual performance evaluations on assigned employees
  • Participate and represent the agency in community outreach
  • Maintain client records in accordance to program policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations
  • Review and approve case management ISPs for assigned employees
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

    SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
    Requires a valid driver's license with a driving record that is in compliance with City's Driving Standards. Depending on assignment, may require Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP – Adult or Child) or Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) certification and highest Part C standards within 6 months of hire; CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications within 3 months of hire; Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification upon hire; Case Management Modules and Intellectual Disabilities Workbook completed within thirty days of hire; Part C Early Intervention Certification within six months of hire; and/or Pre-Screening Certification within 6 weeks of hire (12 weeks for part-time staff).

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
    In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the vocational/education requirements, this position requires 3.5 years of related, full time equivalent experience AND 1 year of supervisory experience.
